Proposal
Following on the success of SMC '25 when we gathered in Halifax, NS in conjunction with the national FSAC conference, we are looking forward to once again bringing Select Partners together for education, networking and a little hard-earned R & R.
This time we are proposing an exclusively Select event with a program tailored specifically to our needs and a return to our 'roots' at the Algonquin Resort where the Select Management Conference was born more than 20 years ago.
The event will take place from Tuesday, November 3 thru Thursday, November 5 with the program opening Tuesday evening and concluding after lunch on Thursday, to allow same-day travel, for most delegates, at both ends of the schedule.

The Select Team
Program
While we are still in the early stages of program development we are looking at a variety of educational options to improve our collective leadership and team management skills and knowledge.
We anticipate that the conference will get underway with an opening speaker before our welcome reception and dinner. Wednesday will be busy with educational programming but we promise the evening will be fun. Thursday morning we will gather again for learning sessions before we wrap up with our closing lunch and get everyone on the road for home.
Along the way, you will have plenty of opportunities to share with and learn from your colleagues and enjoy each other's company. We will bring you more details as the program evolves.
Our Venue
The Algonquin Resort in the seaside town of Saint Andrews, New Brunswick is one of the country's most venerable tourism destinations. Originally opened in 1889, it has recently been meticulously restored to its original splendour. The unique property takes you back to an age of opulence, while offering every modern convenience and comfort.
The historic Town of Saint Andrews, about an hour from Saint John, sits on the shores of Passamaquoddy Bay off the Bay of Fundy. Renowned as a summer resort, the community is quieter but still vibrant in the fall. The weather has been cool but pleasant on our previous visits and we have enjoyed several outdoor adventures and activities.

Expression Of Interest
As we have in the past, we are asking everyone to take a look at their calendars now and let us know if you hope to be with us. This isn't a firm commitment - just an expression of interest to help us confirm our plans with some confidence and get a sense of how many rooms to book and meals to order. A full registration process will follow once we have a more detailed package together for you, but we'd appreciate it if everyone would complete the form below, as soon as possible, and let us know if you are likely to attend. Transportation
The Algonquin is approximately an hour and 20 minutes from the Saint John Airport and about 20 minutes further from the Fredericton Airport. For those travelling on the 3rd and the 5th we can arrange transfers from either of those airports. If you decide to come early or stay late, let us know - we can likely assist with arranging ground transportation for you as well.

We will continue to monitor flight schedules and will be to happy assist any of you with making travel arrangements that will get you here and home again with as little inconvenience as possible.
Fees
Until we are closer to finalizing our educational segments, a final price is difficult to predict. As our base delegate fee will include just two nights accommodations and the off-season rates we've been offered are very good - particularly considering the quality of the resort - we are confident the fees will be comparable with last year's. We will, as always, welcome spouses / significant others to join our delegates and will provide a reduced registration fee for a guest sharing your accommodations. As in the past our delegate fees will include most everything except your flights - accommodations, scheduled meals and social events and the educational programming will all be covered.
